Whilst in Singapore, managing a small team in the Asia region responsible for the inception of new clients and mattersImplementing and coordinating, from a Compliance perspective, all expansion drives of the firm including drafting plans and documents for submission to regulators. This has included the Formal Law Alliance in Singapore with ADTLaw LLC, the Joint Operations in Shanghai with Guantao and the opening of the newly announced Luxembourg office.Drafting and implementing global Risk & Compliance policies.Reviewing and proposing changes to the client drafted terms.Supporting the integration and implementation of the new business acceptance (Intapp Open) and practice management software (Elite 3E).Providing training to the business and supervising the drafting of a best practice guidance handbook for use by the Risk & Compliance Team for Intapp Open.Coordinating with IT regarding customization and optimization of Open interface for the conflicts subfunction.Designing and implementing training plans for the wider Conflicts function including regular trips to engage with the Glasgow based teamDrafting, implementing and testing Business Continuity Plans for the Asia region offices.Providing training to fee earners and business services employees regarding conflicts issues, risk management and internal procedures.Recruiting members of the Conflicts and Ethics team advisory team across EMEA and Asia.Leading employee ethics investigations including liaising with Information Security IT teams, external forensic specialists and, where appropriate, local counsel.
