I recently joined as a Visiting Assistant Professor at IIT Hyderabad in the Department of AI. My research interests are broadly in theoretical machine learning. More specifically, I have worked on projects related to Clustering, Graphical Models, Determinantal Point Processes, Submodular function maximization, and Causal Inference. I have also dabbled in Computational Biology, particularly in deep learning for genomic structural variant discovery.I was a postdoctoral associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard until Jan 2024. Before that, I graduated from Northwestern University with a PhD in Computer Science. At NU, I was in the CS theory group and was very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Konstantin Makarychev and Prof. Aravindan Vijayaraghavan. Before joining Northwestern, I spent four wonderful years at IIT Kanpur from where I graduated with distinction.
