I am an experienced law enforcement professional with extensive experience in international criminal investigations, counterterrorism and national security. My career has focused on transnational organized criminal networks, counter-narcoterrorism, money laundering, and agency management.I have spent the last six years assigned to DOJ/DEA's Special Operations Division (SOD), a multi-agency, multi-national investigative coordination and intelligence center with more than 400 employees from over 40 agencies/countries. The first 5 years assigned to SOD I was assigned to the counter-narcoterrorism portfolio. Tasks included reviewing and managing all DEA-derived intelligence on terrorist threats, coordinating cooperation between DEA and partnered law enforcement and intelligence agencies on terrorist threats and cases, and representing DEA at interagency meetings on domestic and international terrorism topics. For two years, I was assigned fulltime to the FBI, serving on their National Joint Terrorism Task Force.Currently, I am the Administrative Assistant Special Agent in Charge of SOD. Of the many tasks my 40-person section performs, three take center stage: (1) handling facility and personnel security for the facility, which includes Secret and Top Secret components; (2) managing a nine-figure annual budget which funds DEA's highest priority domestic and international programs; and (3) managing the DEA's Title III wiretap program, which requires my daily review, approval, and funding of all DEA wiretaps nationwide.Myy international career includes permanent assignments in Peshawar and Islamabad, Pakistan; Dushanbe, Tajikistan; and Moscow, Russia. I have also performed extended temporary duty assignments in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Tashkent, Uzbekistan. My experience overseas includes international investigations, law enforcement infrastructure development, international law enforcement training, and developing international liaison relationships with foreign law enforcement and intelligence partners. One highlight of my international career was coordinating and hosting DEA's 30th Annual International Drug Enforcement Conference (IDEC) with the Russian Federal Drug Enforcement Agency in Moscow, Russia, in 2013.
