I am an Experienced 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 with +10 years design and on-site experience in the construction and property development industry. Based in Gauteng, South Africa, I have a deep passion for designing spaces that resonate with the dynamic culture, environment, and communities of this diverse region. Over the years, I’ve developed a design approach rooted in sustainable, innovative, and context-sensitive solutions that respond to the unique challenges of the South African landscape.𝗠𝗬 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦My work spans a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and public buildings. 𝟭. In 2018 I was on the 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 for a commercial building in Centurion, Gauteng which won the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 category for 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻. A design inspired by future technology, had crisp clean continuous lines which created a synergy between positive and negative space. The 24,000sqm building is situated on one of the main arterial routes through the city where the design still affirms its place in the architectural landscape.𝟮. More recently I have completed the 16,000 sqm 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 in my capacity as 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁. Being a service specific building with input from numerous stakeholders, the project required continuous design input and 𝗼𝗻-𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁-𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀. Integration and coordination of services was an integral part of the project which had to continuously be balanced between functionality and design. During the conclusion of the project most of my time was spent on site in order to guide the construction team to practical- and eventually works completion.I’m thrilled about opportunities and challenges that allow me to utilize my proficiency with 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁, 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗜, 𝗦𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗨𝗽, 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, 𝗜𝗻𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 etc. and leverage my existing learnings in connecting the design process with real world functionality.𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗦As a 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 we are quite active. We make it a habit to get out of the house over weekends as much as possible. We do regular hiking trails in and around Johannesburg, mountain biking our local parks, field hockey with my daughter, swimming for fun and some more when not relaxing at home.
