Designed, architected, and led implementation teams on a full scale, cross-country datacenter move of Imation’s web infrastructure from an external hosting provider to an on-premise datacenter.Led architecture and implementation teams on the design and build of a new n-Tier, resilient, web infrastructure relying on geographic load-balancers, Apache webservers on Linux, .NET application servers running on IIS and connecting to Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server databases and database clusters; this architecture helped Imation achieve uptimes of 99.99% for the first time (including our previous enterprise hosting environments). Managed a cross-departmental selection committee to choose a new enterprise CMS, EPiServer, culminating in a major re-design of Imation’s web infrastructure which further reduced hard and soft costs, both in IT and Marketing while further improving uptime and streamlining business processes around creating and managing web content.Designed and implemented a full scale monitoring and automation system using Nagios and its extensions to monitor, alert, and repair with no intervention, more than 20 web properties running within Imation’s datacenters.
