I work as an Executive Administrative Assistant but, who wants to hear about the latest tricks for managing your inbox or calendar? Many of us pretend to be adults however, real adults live their lives by THEIR rules, not the whims of others. Thus, for my LinkedIn account, I will focus on the things I DON'T do to make a living but rather, the things that keep me alive.Arctic Rose Creations is founded on three main tenets: play, create, and imagine. To create is to be human. If you are human, then you can make art. Too often, adults fail to keep in touch with their imagination. We become programmed to our daily routines and the commitments we are obligated to fulfill and play, creativity, and imagination are the casualties. Art is a prominent part of most people's childhood and yet, many of us stop making art long before we are adults. We make excuses such as,” I don’t have time”, “Art is for children.” or simply, “I can’t”. Art has nothing to do with talent or age, it's about reconnecting with your inner self, and your imagination, and letting the child inside you come out and play; it's about the creation process.Art allows us to think about something other than our daily grind, it makes all that rushing around slow down. It calms the mind and body and by doing so, it actually gives us more time. And perhaps most importantly, if given the chance, art can heal that which is broken inside of us.
