About Eli Argaman
Eli Argaman is a senior researcher and the former head of the Soil Erosion Research Station at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Soil Science from the Hebrew University and his Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University. In 2008, he received a postdoctoral fellowship from PE&RC at Wageningen University and worked with the Land Degradation & Development Group of the ESG-WUR. His expertise and research interests include Agricultural knowledge management, Implementation of Sustainable Land Management methodologies, Soil Erosion and preservation, detection of Land Degradation processes, and Remote Sensing.Additional research interests include: Environmental physics; Watershed management; Ecohydrology; Soil-Plant-Atmosphere modeling; Knowledge transfer; Water Harvesting & Water Use Efficiency.
