As a Business Systems Analyst with Weir Minerals I was responsible for the prioritization and management of SAP and related projects as defined from upper management. These projects included several international roll outs in Indonesia (upgrade from MYOB to SAP ECC6 and migration to new ECC6 instance) along with upgrading our Coolum office in Queensland from SAP B1 to SAP ECC6. My responsibilities with these projects included a mix of both Project Manager and Team Lead including tasks such as the creation of project proposals, project plans, change management plans, risk analysis, data conversion/migration plans, legacy system plans, project reporting, requirements gathering, creation of test scenarios and training documentation, training and on-going support.In addition, I provided full support and coverage for SAP B1 in our Coolum office and managed all upgrade and interface projects along with the development and maintenance of all financial and internal reports through SAP B1 and Crystal reporting (via SQL). Many of these projects resulted in great reductions of labour hours and reduced risk of human error. The development and implementation of 'Rapid Timesheet' automated the entry of paper time sheets, freeing up one full time role for other duties. The initial one week delay in entering paper time sheets was reduced to 24 hours with real time reporting for management.

My role as a Business Analyst included a mix of project work and system maintenance. As a Project Manager I was responsible for the creation of 'Project Proposals' in the form of project initiation documents, communicating with upper level management, coordination of 'key user' groups on a global scale and demonstrating the value of IT to the business users.The above projects would come about from collaborating with upper level management to discover new opportunities and business processes to meet rapidly changing business needs. These projects would then be prioritized and translated from business requirements into system specifications (SAP and other interfaces) and executed accordingly.In addition to project work, I was responsible for ongoing training and support of the ERP system (SAP R/3) globally along with the maintenance of several reports in Business Warehouse. I was also responsible for the creation and maintenance of all SKUN's (non-shippable materials) in SAP and maintained pricing for all material types globally. This lead to working in different time zones as required and adjusting hours accordingly.

My role as a Business Analyst included working on both large scale global projects and smaller local projects. These global ERP implementations included extensive travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Munich, Germany with occasional trips to Tokyo, Japan and Bangalore, India. My responsibilities included a mix of both Project Management and Team Lead in which I was very much hands on in both roles; including tasks such as gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing and re-defining processes and procedures, test scripting, training and support.In addition, I developed and maintained financial reports globally (Epicor, SQL, Crystal) and provided systems training and support on a global basis working the appropriate time zone when required.I also implemented customized system processes where standard configuration requirements could not be met due to company structure.

As the Financial Accountant my main tasks were to provide financial reports for senior management and prepare and submit all financial month end reconciliations to Citrix head office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was also responsible for all accounting aspects of both the Japan and Singapore general ledgers. Other duties included were monthly submissions of group tax, sales tax and payroll tax returns, annual fringe benefits tax returns and superannuation payments.In addition to the above, I developed a commission process to calculate sales commission on an accelerator basis, along with the preparation and payment of these commissions. I later became involved in the first roll out of a new ERP system Platinum (now called Epicor) in Munich, Germany to observe and ensure that the roll out in APAC would run smoothly. It was during this project that I found my passion with working on ERP systems as a Business Analyst.
