Future H.E.R. is a division of Fredonia Enactus that aims to empower young girls. We partner with the Girl Scouts of Western New York to offer workshops, build relationships, and provide role models to girls K-12. I utilized my leadership and knowledge of event planning to lead a team of 15 peers in empowering young girls. My communication skills allowed me to build relationships with the Council of Girl Scouts of WNY and our local troop leader throughout the year. During my time as Vice President, we hosted 2 events. Taste of College taught 31 Girl Scouts about college and career possibilities. Ingredients for Success taught 47 Girl Scouts about decision making, financial skills, soft skills, and goal setting. Future HER ran 6 troop meetings with our local troop and helped them with cookie sales, We assisted in selling over $800 in cookies. This year, pivoted and $765 of the sales were from using modern payment services like Venmo and Cashapp in order to accommodate college students who don't carry cash.
