I joined tripl's team, as a remote member, to assist its CTO and cofounder on establishing, polishing and continuing the development of their first MVP. For a time it was only the 2 of us, and over the course of a year we grew the tech team to a total of 4 members.My responsibilities ranged from front end development (my very first task was to migrate the existing prototype to a full SPA with AngularJS), to backend development (Ruby on Rails, with postgreSQL, Elasticsearch and Redis), to system administration (3 different UNIX environments to establish and maintain). I worked together with other team members (marketing, designers, etc) to define and implement our metrics and KPIs (Google Analytics, Geckoboard). I was responsible for developing and maintaining technical integrations with several of our partners, via microservices and background job processing queues. During my last months I worked specially in our recommendation system engine; designing and implementing an evaluation protocol to help us objectively compare behaviour and performance of our different algorithms.As a team we payed constant attention to the quality of our product, and we encouraged each other to show maximum care for the final solution; only deploying high performing, deeply tested and fully functional features that were useful for the final user.We followed a SCRUM like process, that we learned to correct and adapt to our needs over the course of time, leading us to better define more focused and productive and less stressful goals. As part of a small consultancy composed entirely of developers, my responsibilities could cover all the steps from the initial contact with the client until delivering the final product, including things like: studying the requirements, budget estimation, end to end development or invoicing the work done.We used agile methodologies that helped both the team and the clients be kept on the loop, show progress in short iterations and remain flexible and within the constraints that time and money usually impose in this kind of projects.During this time I worked on fairly complex web applications that were meant to be used both on desktop computers and smartphones, on native smarthphone applications and also in native desktop applications.The set of technologies I get to use on a regular basis include: Ruby on Rails, Javascript, AngularJS, Ionic Framework, PostgreSQL, Electron Framework, Node.js

During this time I worked on an private web project for Telefonica meant for internal usage only.I was in charge of capturing requirements and specifications, narrowing an defining tasks and goals that aligned with the client requirements, and full implementation of the solution (backend, frontend, and deployment to production). Incremental updates and regular meetings in an agile manner ensured a flowing progress with the client in control. The project was a complete success, delivered on time with many more features than initially planned, and continues to be used today by the client.

Started as part of my final project as part of my Erasmus exchange in ENSEIRB (Bordeaux), Wolty turned out to be my first entrepreneurial attempt. Envisioned as an online language notebook, motivated from my passiong to learn new languages, it was meant to help you keep track of your progress by offering you a space to take notes, shared them with colleagues and friends. It featured community driven QA forums, and a powerful review system. The platform helped you to connect with native speakers and encouraged them to contribute to your notebook by adding examples, corrections or answering your questions.As one of the 2 cofounders my responsibilities were complete, from the complete technical solution, to the marketing strategies, managing finances, or looking for partnerships and alliances.
