Corporate Compliance Manager
CurrentReporting to the Director of Corporate Compliance, the Compliance Manager will design, deliver and monitor adherence to policies, procedures, and controls to ensure that the Secretariat complies with relevant internal and external rules and requirements. The post-holder will monitor mandatory training requirements, co-ordinate and advise on policy compliance across the organisation, monitor progress, produce reports and provide a varied range of support activities to the Director.The post-holder will support and assist the Director of Corporate Compliance in implementing Secretariat strategies and policies particularly in relation to risk, compliance and audit. The post holder will also organize meetings and provide administrative support to the Audit Committee.Key Accountabilities:• Monitor and report on mandatory training requirements, liaising with policy owners ICT and HR Systems Manager on completion rates.• Assist with the completion of donor applications for Extra Budgetary Resources (EBR() by collating historical information from various sources.• Reporting to the Director of Corporate Compliance, carry out spot checks on low cost contracts, grants and partnerships agreements across divisions to ensure compliance, and advise divisions on improving compliance where required.• Assist in preparing reports to various committees, including the Executive Committee, Audit and Risk Committee, Senior Management Committee and Senior Management Group on matters pertaining to audit, compliance, policies and risk.• Follow up and report on the implementation of external and internal audit recommendations.• Review EBR contracts and agreements to ensure adherence to internal policies and standards, advising on or taking corrective action where necessary.• Assist the Director of Corporate Compliance with any data privacy enquiries.• Adhere to the Gender Equality values of the Commonwealth as enshrined in the Commonwealth Charter.
