I was honorably discharged from the US Navy as an Information System Technician. Being a 911 Dispatcher is a challenging job because you never know what to expect. There are many ups and downs, one second to the next; it's very demanding. It is not like a typical 9-5 job. I always have to be ready for long hours, sometimes fast-paced and exciting, and sometimes boring where it feels like the clock isn't moving. What I do every day at work matters to so many people, and that's why I always try to be calm in the toughest situations and solve solutions quickly, accurately, and safely.
