I have been a member of teaching teams across AIS’s Elementary School, from Year 1 through to Year 5. In the role of Elementary Teacher I have differentiated for my students' academic and social needs. As part of my role within the teaching team I have participated in and facilitated collaborative planning meetings and professional development opportunities for and with my colleagues.In my time at at AIS I have also experienced coaching rugby for Under 10, 12, and 19 boys, as well as Track and Field and Cross Country for Year 2 boys and girls. As a sports coach I planned and exacted training sessions to develop technical, social and self-management skills. I believe coaches play an integral part in developing positive attitudes and valuable life-skills through their sports.While at AIS I have also been the inaugural chairperson of the Staff Wellness Committee. In this role I have scheduled and facilitated committee meetings, setting agendas that work towards holistically improving staff wellness. I have coordinated working with a variety of fellow staff members from a variety of departments in order to implement various initiatives recommended by the Committee. In my role of Committee Chair, I have reported directly to the Head of School.
