Arjen has a broad background, with special reference to institutional and organizational aspects of water projects. He is accustomed to complex projects, both in terms of institutional and technical aspects and often in the role as project leader. His strength is finding appropriate solutions, both technical and institutional, in the arena of complex institutional settings in the water sector. Over the last 12 years Arjen has been involved in international projects that focus on (ground)water resources management, water harvesting and climate change adaptation. As general manager of Acacia, Arjen is responsible for managing a group (ground) water experts. Acacia Water aims at groundwater in relation to surface water, environment and infrastructure. This varies from implementation of field measurements and model calculations, to giving training and strategic advice. Acacia Water distinguishes itself by the cooperation with different research institutes and universities. As a result Acacia Water has access to the latest scientific developments in the field of hydrology and environment. We translate this knowledge to innovative and practical solutions.
