As a dedicated medical data specialist, I bridge the gap between clinical practice and cutting-edge technology. My mission is to bring (AI-powered) data driven insights to the bedside in a scalable way so that both patients and healthcare professionals profit. My journey began with a Bachelor's in Technical Medicine and a Master's in Medicine and Clinical Research, followed by residencies in neurology, cardiology, and intensive care medicine. My PhD focused on blood pressure regulation, where I developed my skills in project management, data analysis and signal processing as well as presenting and scientific writing. Currently, I serve as a Medical Data Specialist at a pioneering company that develops AI solutions for intensive care units. In this role, I am responsible for the selection, processing and quality of the medical data that lies at the base of the AI models. Next to that, I'm heavily involved in scaling up the AI solutions to multiple hospitals and specialized in the data standardization techniques that facilitate this. In the mean time, I'm developing product vision together with clinicians and the company team. I also present our AI models to intensivists, ensuring that these advanced tools are both effective and user-friendly. My passion lies in conceptualizing new AI applications that enhance patient care and streamline clinical workflows.Outside of my professional life, I am a proud father of three and enjoy running.
