* The purchasing process and negotiation with the supplier* Write an inquiry and follow up with freight forwarders to evaluate the best freight charges.* Providing a shipping forecast to management based on the ex-factory date and shipping schedule.* Responsible for maintaining a record of all outstanding purchase orders with the factory.* Independently handled all import and export letter of credits.* Preparation of commercial invoices, packing lists, and other documents based on LC clauses* Review of shipping documents in coordination with the supplier’s prior issuance of original documents.* Highlight discrepancies ascertained in the shipping documents, if any, to the suppliers so they can take appropriate corrective action.* Generate a certificate of origin from the chamber of commerce.* Send BL instructions to forwarder, review BL draft, and follow up until originals are issued.* Coordinate with the forwarder if any complications arise in logistics.* Arranges transportation and forwarding services for all orders to ensure material is delivered as per schedule to the customers.* Coordinate with the local clearance company for the clearance, delivery, and labour requirements.* Coordinate with the Inspection company and organize an inspection to issue a COC.* Managing import-export files and submitting documents to the accounting department.* Review of L/C Application and Draft; request for necessary changes if required.* Review L/C Clauses on they it is received from the advising bank and request amendments if required.* For L/C Negotiation, prepare bank documents such as the BOE (Bill of Exchange) along with invoice and packing list and informing the runner for timely pick up of documents for submission.* On time L/C negotiation and follow up for its acceptance.* Liaising with Clients, suppliers, and bankers and ensuring that documents are clean when negotiated.
