As a Senior Asset Engineer, my responsibilities include:- Optimizing and maintaining calm within Severn Trent's Waste treatment asset classes. I lead the management of STW's interventions on assets within the asset class to maximize service to STW's customers and ODI performance, all at the lowest TOTEX whole life cost to ensure "Overall Equipment Effectiveness".- Supporting the long-term planning and prioritizing of investment in line with the annual business plan. I work with key stakeholders to maintain plan trajectory and provide evidence to inform changes when required.- Initiating capital investment and project sponsorship related to the asset class at key project stages (project initiation or Gate 1, outline solution or Gate 2, and post-project completion or Post-Gate 5).- Assisting Treatment Process and front-line teams to drive the appropriate interventions (operational, block, schemes).- Identifying short-term management options from received risks escalations or identifying intervention requirement for complex and costly activity, thereby reducing intermediary risk.- Providing a coherent view of the asset class risk position and progressing and moderate risk to drive mitigation and reduction over time.- Actively seeking, recording, managing, and communicating risk and opportunity with respect to the waste treatment asset base, safety, and cost.- Driving a strong business partnering culture underpinned by healthy challenge and control to understand risk position and plan to reduce this over time.- Providing expertise to key stakeholders, developing effective relationships with the key stakeholders across Asset Strategy & Planning, Asset Intelligence & Innovation, and Production (including Bio-resources).

• Supporting the delivery of the Severn Trent Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) as a Business Leadership Programme Graduate in a project manager role.• Coordinated the management of the responses to the WRMP consultation, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.• Assured the accuracy and completeness of data tables required by Ofwat and the Environment Agency, and oversaw assurance activities to ensure that all data and information was appropriately assured.• Managed risks and issues by attending Project Team Delivery Meetings and engaging in regular 121s with Workstream leads• Interacted with a wide range of internal and external stakeholder groups, including the Environment Agency, Water Resources West and Ofwat, and contributed to the development of Customer Focused Summary documents.• Collaborated with the Sustainable Abstraction Strategy Team Manager to support the coordination of the Water Industry National Environmental Programme (WINEP), including coordinating queries from the Environment Agency and overseeing assurance for WINE.• Played a key role in the development and publication of the Water Resources West Regional Plan, as well as the maintenance of the Environment Agency Resourcing plan and the facilitation of E stakeholder meetings.
