Currently employed by our local mental health authority Concho Valley MHMR as the lead adult mental health assessor to determine need for psychiatric services. I have been with mhmr for six and one half years. I’ve been a counselor since 2009. I have been an d adjunct instructor at Howard college for five and a half years and still goin. Fall and spring are my semesters of teaching the substance abuse course load to burgeoning substance abuse counselors, social workers and corrections career folks too. My areas of expertise are in educating about self regulation skills for PTSD and anxiety as well as acute onset stress. I focus on the symptomology and signs for enhancing immediate environmental safety and awareness of stress responses and encouraging one’s environmental safety both internal and external. I focus on self regulation areas influencing decisions in all three major realms of human interaction, biologically, psychologically and socially.
