Joining the Center for Cancer Research at MGH, I share laboratory management responsibilities with 4 other Research Technicians in Dr. Marcela V. Maus’s Lab while contributing to projects led by senior researchers on solid and liquid tumor CAR T therapy research.Responsibilities include: managing daily lab workflow, culturing various human and mouse primary and immortalized cell lines, managing lab organization, maintaining and restocking inventory, receiving packages, sharing knowledge within the lab. I am currently working with Giulia Escobar, Ph.D., on projects targeting Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma and metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer, among other collaborations. Experience with lentivirus production, cloning techniques (Restriction enzyme digestion, HiFi Gibson Assembly, Mutagenesis) and PCR, transformation, plasmid extraction kits (Macherey Nagel/Qiagen/Zymo), ELISA, Ella, Lumicks, Luciferase killing assays, human primary T cell isolation and culture, human immortalized tumor cells, mouse breast cancer cell lines, cell transduction, electroporation, fluorescent tagging, flow cytometry and analysis, Incucyte imaging and analysis (growth and killing assays), mouse blood and tumor processing, in vivo mouse models, and syngeneic mouse models.

Independent and collaborative experience with magnetic particle imaging, nanoparticle cell labelling, immunohistochemistry, optical, fluorescent, and confocal microscopy, ELISA, mouse bone marrow-derived dendritic cell harvest and culture, in vivo and ex vivo animal techniques (tissue dissection, subcutaneous injection, isoflurane anesthetic administration, in vivo imaging).Designed and conducted “phantom” studies to advance in vivo experiments for the quantification of cell migration using magnetic nanoparticles and magnetic particle imaging, resulting in BMES Annual Meeting poster presentation.

Independently conducted groups of 18 elementary-aged children through summer camp activities.Assisted senior faculty in organizing and managing daily processes.Prepared facility for evening adult programs.Completed administrative duties at the front desk.Closed facility and City of Bellair Town Hall at the end of shifts.
