I opened one of the first internet cafe's in South Africa, this experience got me interested in finding a solution to deliver the internet to people in South Africa faster and more cost effective. I developed and designed the 1st wireless wifi network in South Africa in Johannesburg in 1999 as Technical Director for Wisp. From there my experience grew in leaps and bounds bringing in the full range of ISP services into my own start up company WNC holdings, which i sold to Basileus Capital. I have always wanted to develop a first tier ISP and have now achieved that with Broadband Wireless delivering dedicated wireless, VoIP, video and WIMAX in South Africa. Broadband Wireless is a national licensed operator in South Africa delivering the whole range of ISP services. Broadband Wireless also has a wholesale VOIP division, with wholesale VOIP routes into Africa and the rest of the world.
