As part of the Data Extraction team I:- Implemented an offline datalake reducing common data collection and analysis tasks from hours to minutes. Technologies: AWS S3, Delta Lake, Airflow, PySpark- Designed and implemented full retraining and fine-tuning pipelines for the document classifier model, from dataset gathering through training and evaluation. Technologies: Airflow, PySpark, PyTorch- Accelerated adoption of data engineering practices in other teams through mentoring and knowledge transfer sessions.

Implementing and productionalizing machine learning models for a recommender system using Tensorflow, Sagemaker inference, AWS Lambda and AWS Opensearch. Best practices were used throughout, setting up repeatable ELT pipelines, CI/CD pipelines, and automated model retraining. Additionally contributed to our backend microservices, in Kotlin and Spring Boot.

Applying mathematics in industry in a range of fields. Focus on discrete optimisation, machine learning and statistical modelling. Projects included work on machine learning and time-series analysis for an intelligent tutoring system, automatic machine fault diagnosis, optimising PCB assembly machine operation, and development of a train service capacity calculation tool. Additionally taking part in recruitment and outreach projects.
