During my Software Engineering Internship at Rentful, I contributed to transforming the rental process for students and landlords. Rentful’s innovative platform simplifies rental applications by allowing students to submit one application to apply to multiple properties, streamlining the process for landlords as well.In my role, I supported the development of both enterprise and customer-facing websites using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, working with SQL databases and AWS infrastructure. I also integrated authentication through next-auth and implemented AWS S3 for secure image storage and efficient retrieval APIs.Collaborating closely with a freelance UI designer, I helped bring Figma mockups to life, iterating based on user feedback. I contributed to developing our MVP, conducting customer research to ensure the platform’s functionality met user needs, and participated in creating a seamless, user-friendly experience that enhances the rental process for all involved.
