I am an undergraduate junior information science major at UMD. I have an interest in data science, business analytics, and research. I am currently working towards becoming a data scientist after I complete my undergraduate education. Alongside this goal, I hope to complete more cloud computing certifications and courses to grow my own experience in the realm of computer programming.Currently, at the University of Maryland, I am a part of a 4-year research project with the Gemstone Honors program. All members of this team are part of the class of 2026, and we conduct research with Children's National Hospital. Our team has undertaken groundbreaking research focused on the activation and inhibition of autophagy and the lysosome as potential therapeutic avenues for addressing prenatal Zika virus infection.Outside of courses, I dedicate some of my time to UMD's South Asian Student Association as their VP of Budgeting. In this position, I leverage my communication, organization skills and problem-solving to help SASA hold their many events and work towards creating an inclusive South Asian community at UMD.
