• Regional (Aspac) Restructure - Delivered supporting systems changes (SAP R/3 & APO) in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Netherlands to support the transfer of production from Sydney to overseas factories, including changes to stock management policy, commercial agreements and secondary supply chain routes. This positions the organisation to achieve the objectives of re-implementation of SAP R/3 for a downsized factory, Corporate Office relocation and Data Centre relocation in 2012. • Global HR Shared Services - Developed deployment plans, system blueprints and initial infrastructure for the Global SAP HR implementation, including initial Data Definitions and information repository for the Global HR function. Total IT investment of AUD30mn over a 4 year period covering application build and deployment.
SAP R/3 Deployment - Europe: Delivered 11 full lifecycle SAP implementations across Western and Eastern Europe, managing a budget of AUD90mn over 3.5 years. Created a regional team of 20 staff and set up an offshore build team in India. Negotiated resource augmentation contract with IBM for supply of technical resources for the programme, and created a deployment model for delivery, inclusive of change management and business transition activities. Controlled multiple concurrent projects having a total of approximately 150-200 staff (technical and business). Embedded a single instance of SAP R/3 into 12 commercial markets (Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Malta, Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Uzbekistan, Italy), 11 factories (Netherlands, Romania, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary, Ukraine, Germany (2), Uzbekistan (2), Italy and the Western Europe Supply Chain Hub.
• Procurement Transformation Managed complex implementation of the SRM solution to deliver annual savings of GBP175M, via control and tracking of GBP2000mn Indirect expenditure for the top 38 operating companies worldwide. From July 2003 to December 2005, integrated a single SRM and BW instance to the key SAP R/3 platforms worldwide to build the company’s first global SAP application. SRM and associated business processes changed procurement practice in over 16 countries. Created a deployment model that managed subsequent rollouts to nearly 30 countries globally. In a period of 20 months, whilst deploying concurrently, delivered six software releases, two more than the projected requirements, and within a cost-contained build budget of AUD10mn.
IT Strategy and Account Management- Accountable for strategy execution and relationship management for the Marketing function, inclusive of project delivery and day to day operations covering $3.5B in sales and combined expenditure budgets of around $250M. Delivered major customer relationship platforms through Siebel, SAP and i2 software. Managed over 10 permanent staff and yearly project budgets in excess of AUD10mn. In 2001 sponsored the delivery of Siebel systems for the field force of BAT Australia (AUD15mn).
• E-commerce Enablement Developed electronic B2B portal – Quatro.com.au as one of its patent authors. Managed technical delivery in November 2000 of ordering and sales functionality for the independent retailers of Australia, covering around 25% of sales volume, but more than half of its transaction load. To date this site remains one of the few remaining operational B2B portals for the consumer goods industry, covering about half of all sales transactions by volume.
