I started my professional career as a civilian research chemist at the Naval Weapons Center at China Lake, CA and went on to Alcoa as a research scientist in power cable. From there I was at Anaconda, Ericsson, AT&T and Lucent as a materials engineer in communication wire & cable until I retired. I then worked five years part time in plastics recycling for Fluortek and most recently taught and currently tutor chemistry at Metropolitan Community College. I have always been physically and mentally active and strive to maintain that lifestyle as long as possible. I get great satisfaction in contributing to the betterment of society.
