Worked in the packhouse as quality controller under supervision of the Farm Manager.Cederberg Tree Nursery, Citrusdal, Western Cape (November / December 2016)Cederberg Tree Nursery is a bio-secure facility outside Citrusdal and part of the ANB Investments group of companies. They produce certified disease-free citrus trees of high quality. Work experience cover the full spectrum of tree propagation and growth processes. KG Fruit, Zeeland Kapelle, The Netherlands (July 2015)KG Fruit specializes in the cultivation and marketing of apples, pears and kiwi berries. Worked in orchards under supervision of the Production Manager.Fruitways, Western Cape (December / January 2015)Fruitways is a specialist producer, packer and marketer of apples, pears and wine. Worked with production managers, horticultural consultants and viticulturist.Blydevallei Farm, Hoedspruit, Limpopo (June / July 2014)Blydevallei has close to 800 hectares of orchards. Have developed my understanding of the market dynamics of lemon, orange and grapefruit. Spent also time with an entomologist and gained first-hand experience of packhouse operations, irrigation, pruning and people dynamics.
