Instead of my experience in this section, I thought I might tell you a little about myself.I worked on my first survey crew way back in 1988 when the steel chain was still a necessity just like it was when my grandfather was coming up through the ranks in the 1940's. Surveying has come a long way since then. We now use total stations and GPS equipment, calculators and data collectors, and most of all, the all mighty computer with software to make our maps instead of drawing them by hand.I still prefer a phone call instead of an email. It just seems more personal. I warn you, I am from North Carolina and will talk your ears off if given a chance.
