 Acting as primary contact for providing export control support for items, including technical data received by TASL from its customers (e.g.; Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce, GE) from the US, EU, UK, etc. to ensure compliance with the regulations. Currently leading export compliance function for more than 60 programs and 8 plants across India Ensuring appropriate authorizations and licenses (EAR, ITAR, EU and SCOMET) are in place for transfer of export-controlled items further down to the supply chain. Handling export control requirements for the “C-295 Make in India” program Ensure end-user statements are filled correctly, restricted party screenings are performed before sharing technical information with the external parties Design export compliance policies, draft instructions as per regulatory requirements and share them with relevant departments Ensure record keeping are maintained by the relevant departments Highlight any transaction deemed to be a potential violation to the senior management Work closely with Technology Control Officers (TCO) to ensure the Technology Control Plan (TCP) is implemented correctly as per the requirements of the programs Conduct export compliance trainings across all locations of TASL, create and update training materials, awareness flyers, online training content Conduct Export Compliance internal audits for all major departments, design, and implementation of corrective actions in case of non-conformances, and ensure that corrective actions are closed

As Export Controls Functional Team Lead I am responsible for certain operational activities to ensure compliance with international Export Control regulations for A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S, in close collaboration with Mumbai export controls colleagues, and with global procurement colleagues.Responsible for the Mumbai team’s daily activities; including:i) Case managementii) Screenings of all supply chain commitments, internal catalogues, global inventories and master data; and review of screeningsiii) Timely communication with global suppliers and makersiv) Local training and awarenessv) Data managementvi) Reporting• Local stakeholder management – ensure the export controls team stays informed and involved• Responsible for the Export Control Team’s task tracker; manage urgency to meet deadlines• Daily sparring and guidance of Mumbai team members• Support Head of Export Controls with ad-hoc task

 Ensure compliance with export control regulations of the US (EAR, ITAR), EU for Maersk’s internal supply chain serving vessels and APM Terminals Screen all purchase orders on daily basis and instruct supply chain on correct handling and reporting of the export controlled and military (anti-piracy) items Keep track IT hardware & software procurement and assist with export controls requirement Collaborate with forwarders and CHA to ensure correct export licenses are applied, as well as apply for individual export permits based on export from different countries Maintain export controls database for controlled items based on CCL list, EU dual-use list, and as per regular updates from suppliers, manufacturers Facilitate the conversion of purchased export-controlled items into internal unique reference numbers in DNV ShipManager. Monitor off landing /scrapping of controlled items in designated ports according to country regulations Conduct export controls training for new supply chain employees, as well as ad-hoc refresher training for all relevant stakeholders. Create awareness through flyers, EC tips & tricks and e-learning modules Create, update and review SOPs of the processes for better controls over function Evaluate risk and internal controls through spot checks, risk assessments Prepare summary reports on assessments, projects, compliance confirmation Support Maersk’s all integrated brands on managing export controls function Work closely with Compliance Managers to implement processes across function based on latest changes in US, EU regulations Prepare country guide based on country specific changes in regulations Collaborate with technical team to implement changes in the system to ensure export controls mechanism are in place

 Responsibilities include handling distributors of Europe, Middle East & South Africa with monthly 1.5 million-plus value of instrument, consumable & cool shipment orders as per required configuration in SAP ECC module as well as ensuring order booking TAT, compliance, and SLA matrix Working closely with factory & logistics on DDP, FCA, CIP & other incoterm shipments, arranging AWB, custom invoices, packing list and, other shipping docs Taking care of Letter of credit, CIA and other negotiated payment term orders Responsible for the liaison between the customer and sales by managing quotes, standard & non-standard discounts, approvals and, additional documentation Handling team with work distribution, leave management, training &mentoring along with taking care of all internal & external issues, queries & escalations Manage internal quality through audits and monitor DPU / DPMO and Sigma score Manage Export control and regulatory compliance for orders through Customer screening / RPL and other defined checks Process improvement through Lean projects & best practice sharing Preparing monthly dashboard, delivery block & SNI report and present the reports to the management, all the stakeholders and distributors
