As a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft, I bring over 11 years of experience driving innovation and optimizing complex systems for web services. Since graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, in 2013, I have developed a deep expertise in scaling systems for high throughput and low latency, with a relentless focus on reducing COGS and enhancing performance.My strengths lie in identifying and resolving bottlenecks, designing scalable, reliable, and understandable solutions, and optimizing every facet of the system. Working extensively with both SQL and NoSQL storage, I leverage the Microsoft Azure platform to build robust, efficient architectures. On a daily basis, I'm deeply invested in things like throttling, rate limiting, caching, sharding, parallelization, indexing, dynamic resource allocation, error handling, background job management, improving throughput, availability, latency etc.My approach to design is to keep it simple and understandable. I have mainly worked on building services, APIs, background job system with high throughput and availability. In my initial years I also worked on front end technologies Javascript, JQuery and ASP.Net views. During the same time, I had built a cross platform mobile app using Xamarin with 2 people team including me from scratch driving things end to end from the first code merge to finally reaching the play store.Throughout my career, I have taken a thorough, ownership-driven approach to my work, delivering high-quality, bug-free code that I stand behind from development through rollout.
