To supervise and coordinate for timely compilation of Monetary Policy Information Compendium for the monetary policy committee, the committee formulates, support and recommend the monetary policy of Pakistan.To get prepared the monthly statistical review that incorporates workers’ remittances, foreign trade, and foreign investment, and private sector credit, rate of return, monetary trends and debt dynamics.

To supervise Monetary Aggregates Analysis Unit.To write policy notes relevant to monetary issues.To provide consolidated information, pertaining to SBP, to the IMF as a routine task and for IMF review missions.To consolidate and contribute in Monetary and Credit Outlook (MCO) incorporating trend based monetary projections, econometric analysis and latest developments.To contribute in working paper for the Monetary and Fiscal Policies Coordination Board (MFPCB) a synopsis of monetary developments and forward looking assessment including risks and challenges.To contribute in the projections of Monetary Sector in the macroeconomic framework (financial programming) consistent with other sectors of the economy.To participate in the discussion as member Forecasting Review Committee (FRC).To act as audit coordinator of Monetary Policy Department (MPD).

To compile Monthly statement of position of Islamic Banking Institutions and prepare a review based on the consolidated set of information.To compile Annual Audited Accounts of Islamic Banking Institutions and prepare a review.To compile sukuk information as per IBD Circular No 01 dated February 27, 2008.To contribute in the Quarterly Islamic Banking BulletinTo contribute in the analytical write up to incorporate in the publication titled “Islamic Banking Sector Review.”
