I truly believe that everyone should have at least one caring person who supports and guides them in life. I'm determined to be that source of compassion and guidance for others. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help and take care of people. My journey started at Nashoba Valley Technical High School, where I enrolled in the Health Assisting program with the aim to become a certified Home Health Aide. Alongside with getting certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA, Alzheimer's care, and feeding assistance. I spent four years interacting with and aiding seniors across various care facilities. This experience allowed me to effectively communicate, motivate, and assist elderly individuals. My involvement extended beyond caregiving where I served as the Junior and Senior Secretary of my class, fulfilled the role of Tennis Captain for three years, mentored incoming freshmen, and held the position of Vice President in the National Honor Society, setting an example for my peers. My pursuit of knowledge continues as I major in Psychology with a Health concentration, Minor in Biology, and follow a PreMed track at UMass Lowell. To further my passion for caregiving, I am on track to achieve an EMT certification by late 2024. As a first-generation college student, I've also taken on the role of Vice President within the River Hawk Racing team, achieving Dean's List recognition in my previous semesters. I serve as a team leader for incoming first generation students and peer leaders for the River Hawk Scholars Academy. My role extends as a peer leader during the summer. My ambition drives me towards future aspirations, including attending medical school. My preparation includes a background in medical math, demonstrated through my participation in the 2019 Skills USA Medical Math competition. Alongside with my pass certifications from high school, the knowledge of EMT training, holding leadership opportunities given, and serving my community.During my free time, I find joy to help at Lowell Transitional Living Center to serve and care for my community. On a more personal note, I am a NASCAR fan who attends races and watches the broadcasts. I am a car enthusiast involved in modifying my own car and attending car shows/meets. In fact, I host two car shows annually for River Hawk Racing. I love to travel and seek diverse cultural experiences and see the world outside of Massachusetts. In a world where there is a lot of hate and anger, love and kindness are needed to impact the world for the better, and I'm committed to being the person who makes an impact.
