As an Environmental Specialist, I assist with the decommissioning of Whiteshell Laboratories through conducting audits, providing training, updating reports and procedures and overseeing environmental aspects of site functions with sustainability and conservation at the forefront.As a Fisheries Biologist at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), I contributed to the health and sustainability of aquatic ecosystems through habitat protection and compliance with federal regulations. I worked with a diverse team of scientists, managers, and stakeholders to assess and monitor the impacts of human activities on fish and fish habitat, and to provide advice and guidance on mitigation and restoration measures. I also wrote and reviewed technical reports and environmental restoration applications using my strong writing skills and engaged stakeholders on restoration using my communication skills.I possess a Bachelor's degree in Environment Science from the University of Manitoba, where I have gained a solid foundation in ecological principles, research methods, and data analysis. I am passionate about learning new things and experiencing different perspectives, and I have participated in various extracurricular activities such as volunteering. I value helping others and giving back to the community, and I hope to meet you someday as it would be my pleasure.
