Arthur Lubetz was a founding member of the Pittsburgh Community Design Center and the Environmental Design Collaborative. In 1967 he established Lubetz Architects, an architectural firm that has been in practice for over 40 years, producing such notable projects as the award winning Carnegie Library at Squirrel Hill. For the past 20 years Art has been an active adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University where he continues to encourage his students to profoundly explore their experiences with architecture. Art has been an NCARB certified and licensed architect since 1965.

Founder and president of Lubetz Architects, his point of view on architecture has guided the firm for 40 years. He was also a founding member of the Pittsburgh Community Design Center, Environmental Design Collaborative, and Past President of Preservation Pittsburgh. For the past 20 years, Arthur has been an active adjunct professor in the school of architecture at Carnegie Mellon University, encouraging his students to think and rethink architecture and the experiences it defines. Recognized for creating memorable, experiential architecture, the firm has received positive critical reviews in the New York Times, The New York Post, and magazines including Architectural Record, Architecture Magazine, Skala, Institutions, Progressive Architecture, and Metropolitan Home.
