Front Studio began in 2001 in New York City. A decade later Yen Ha and Michi Yanagishita merged the partnership with Art Lubetz, founder of Lubetz Associates in Pittsburgh, PA to form Front Studio Architects, LLC. The three principals met at Carnegie Mellon University.
Front Studio Architects engages people and promotes their passions by creating environments that encourage a sense of belonging. We understand architecture to be an interactive, ongoing and creative process that places the environmental welfare of a community and its inhabitants at the forefront of the design. Our work resonates with its users, through experientially powerful and environmentally responsive forms.
