My name is Art Davis. I am a modern classical composer, writer, and owner of Art Davis Studios. I live in the Texas Hill Country just outside of Austin. I have written a large body of work for the concert stage, theater, dance, and film.My music draws from a wide range of musical experiences, from orchestral and ambient electronica to jazz improvisation to folk-influenced world music to free improvisation.

Managed the Desktop Onsite Support Group in Austin , TX and Sunnyvale , CA and the Second Level Call Center in Nodia, India for the Advanced Micro Devices / HCL contract.

Responsible for the engineering and support of the Windows server infrastructure. Managed the Enterprise Systems Monitoring Initiative. Managed the Citrix Metaframe Team. As a member of the Hardware / Backup Team I was responsible for reviewing requests for new hardware installations and drafting recommendations for system configurations , processing quotes, and supervising the purchasing process . I assisted in the installation and support of the HP/Compaq Proliant and M&A servers. Acted as the AMD Customer Support Manager for the Microsoft Support Contract.

Scott Instruments Corporation developed speaker independent, isolated word and continuous speech recognition technology.

Developed a $2.4 million prototype home of the future. The home control system supported a computer automated media panel, security, HVAC, telephone, and surveillance subsystems. The system could be controlled by voice, telephone touch-tone, or touch screen and was used to demonstrate the functionality of home automation concepts to the emerging marketplace.
