Arthur (Art) Gimenez firmly believes community banks like Impact Loan Fund are critically needed to address growing wealth inequality in America. Art is currently the Director of Lending at Impact Loan Fund, a CDFI that focuses on small business and real estate lending in the Greater Kensington area. Arthur was previously a Portfolio Manager at Reinvestment Fund and oversaw performance of a $150MM loan portfolio composed of several industries: Arts and Culture, Early Childhood Education, Health and Wellness and Social. Prior to Reinvestment Fund, Arthur previously served as the Senior Business Development Officer at PIDC, the City of Philadelphia's official economic development organization and a CDFI. Over the course of five years, Arthur originated over $15MM of loans by assisting small business owners and real estate developers in obtaining flexible and affordable business financing, with a special focus on assisting BIPOC business owners. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Arthur took on several leadership roles during the pandemic response, leading PIDC's involvement in the successful deployment of the $225MM PA Statewide Relief Small Business Assistance Program and the $145MM COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program (CHIRP). Before working at PIDC, Arthur was the Director of Lending at The Enterprise Center, a CDFI located in West Philadelphia, and oversaw business loan origination, portfolio management, and loan fund capitalization.Outside of work, Arthur serves on the Board of Directors for two non-profits: Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), South East Asian Mutual Assistance Association Coalition (SEAMAAC) and Entrepreneur Works. He also serves as the Co-Chair of the School Advisory Council for the Edwin M. Stanton School, where his son and daughter attend in South Philadelphia. He also organizes public outdoor events in the Point Breeze neighborhood of South Philadelphia, where he and his family have resided for over ten years.Arthur earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Fox School of Business, Temple University and his Bachelor Of Science in Software Engineering degree from De La Salle University in the Philippines. He is fluent in both English and Tagalog, the official language of the Philippines.
