Sr Project Lead
Current2014-Present: Program office technical resource in communications systems and architectures. Work closely with warfighter and agency customers as well as acquisition contractors to provide technical leadership performing and managing efforts involving analysis, modeling and simulation, LPI/LPD methods, waveform design, interference mitigation, and architecture operation.2012-2014: Cyber security. Perform analysis of systems, architectures, and procedures for security, robustness, resiliency, and best practices, with emphasis on wireless systems. Track emerging trends and technologies in all aspects of the cyber domain including networking, data centers, cloud computing, big data, and software assurance. Participate in studies, investigations, and demonstrations of penetration testing, cyber attacks, wireless networks, malware, software code testing, web application testing, and security methods.2002-2011: Program office resident technical resource focused on over-the-horizon communications system and architecture design, development, and acquisition. Perform analysis, modeling, simulation, and testing on communications methods, message protocols, modulations, link budgets, antennas, ad hoc networking devices, low probability of detect/intercept/exploit signal structures. Interface with customers, contractors, the Aerospace research group, and adjunct program offices to develop, procure, and verify new technologies, capabilities, and products. Characterize end-to-end architecture performance against requirements; Develop CONOPS for effective architecture exploitation and anomaly mitigation. Source selection. Travel as required.Accomplishments include architecture capacity expansion; new waveforms; channel characterization, modeling, simulation, lab testing, and field testing; advanced research on a chaotic communications capability, a random access method to increase the supportable user base, multi-user detection techniques for disadvantaged user reception.
