• Assist in advising administration and district of counseling procedures. • Lead with documenting and implementing best practices across school and district• Within one year promoted to Head Counselor and Lead Advisor concerning academic procedures to Administration• SST Coordinator: Within one semester of chairing SST, school received successful outcome as suspensions, D&F data, Truancies, and expulsions were all lowered• Lead Advisor in creating a College Ready culture on campus and in the classroom: A major responsibility was to create lesson plans for Advisory and coaching teachers on how to embed college knowledge into their everyday lesson planning• Started school wide parent conferences which lead to increase in school to home communication which led to better academic performance and increase parent involvement • Created and maintain academic tracking sheet for each student and organized procedure to mail copies of interventions utilized with report cards which has proven to increase school performance• Created a Community out Reach program with the school to increase academic performance; to date several educational workshops within the community has been successfully conducted

Increased community support for family financial support and mental health services from no programs to over 13 programs, many of which met with families on campus and at their homes• Assists students in obtaining high level scholarships which include: Quest Bridge, POSSE , YBS Scholar, and many more which totals millions in scholarship and grant money• Chaired several positions which included testing coordinator, matrix coordinator, head counselor, safe and civil coordinator, lead DIS counselor, mental health coordinator, gang prevention program, drug prevention program• Conducts weekend workshops to assist students with the college prep process • Provide skills necessary for student success in school, community and the world of work by conducting staff and community workshops• Facilitates crisis management intervention and teaches students mediation and conflict resolution • Nominated for Counselor of the year in 2012-2013 school year

• Case load of the top 250 at-risk students at George Washington HS. Ended the year with the largest 4 year college acceptance rate of all counselors on campus, which included several private schools. • Helped students earn over $300,000 dollars in scholarships and grant money for seniors on caseload • Conducted an East Coast college tour where we took 25 of our most at-risk students on a college tour that included several private, HBCU’s, and public schools• Created a group that participated in several programs designed to increase academic achievement
