Works independently on service inspections, phase inspections, special inspections. Makes decisions on whether or not to repair or replace parts, or accessories on equipment. As a mechanic independent decisions were made on the use of safety devises needed to complete certain tasks. Plans operations on scheduling inspections, movement of equipment, retrieval of parts, ordering of parts that affected powered and non-powered support systems. Can independently select the correct hand and/or power tool needed to safely and effectively repair support equipment. Knowledgeable in the use of specialized tools needed to accomplish the task of repairing support equipment. Experience in the use powered machines when necessary to expedite the repairs of support equipment.
