As a member of FDA’s GenomeTrakr team, I analyze whole-genome sequence (WGS) data and provide expert-level interpretation of results that are used in outbreak and compliance decisions. I am also an active member of the Global Coalition for Regulatory Science Research and the ISO working group “Whole-genome sequencing for typing and genomic characterization” where I develop international standards for the application of WGS data for food safety.
