After the realisation dawned on me in my late Teens that I would never make it as a Professional Rugby Player (I was not even close!) I soon realised that my Key Skills belonged in People Management. Having initially worked as a Risk Underwriter understanding different Businesses, the sectors they operated in and their Financial Accounts, I decided to take the plunge into Brokering which widened my skills in Face to Face meetings, dealing with Renewals, Pricing and gaining a greater understanding the Credit Insurance market. This lead me back to being the Insurer with Atradius where after 10 years as an Account Manager, dealing with SME and Middle Market accounts in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, I got promoted to a Senior Account Manager dealing with Large Corporates and have served in that position over the last 2 years. In 2020, I joined a small Surety company in Dublin called Advent Risk and worked there for 2 years. I worked with some of Irelands largest construction and distillery companies in supporting them with all types of bonds i.e. performance, advance, customs etc before embarking on the biggest challenge in my career to date in managing a portfolio of cedants in Asia, Australia and South Africa for the Global Reinsurer Atradius Re.Capabilities: Surety Bonds, Credit Rating Account Management, Risk Mitigation, Customer Service, Credit, Business Development, Underwriting, Credit Risk, Liability, Sales Management, Commercial Insurance, Portfolio Management, Negotiation, Working with Brokers, Reinsurance
