Arthur is a Tax Consulting Manager for Tax & Legal at Deloitte Brazil, primarily focused on providing advisory services in Indirect Tax and Global Trade Advisory. In addition to providing general indirect tax advisory, he advises large national and multinational companies on matters relating to the Brazilian VAT Reform, set to completely overhaul the national tax environment through a long transition period ending in 2033.Arthur specializes in tax planning, tax incentives and benefits, review of tax compliance and ancillary obligations, tax network design and site location, tax modelling and support to tax controversy. He has primarily served clients in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Industry, in addition to Energy, Resource and Industrials, and Consumer industries.Prior to joining Deloitte, Arthur worked in Audit and Assurance in two other professional services' firms, and in Project Management in the automotive industry.Arthur earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) with a major in accounting from the University of Manitoba (Canada) and his Bachelor of Accounting from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas). Born in Brazil and fluent in Portuguese, English and Italian, Arthur spent 7 years of his life in Canada, where he graduated high school and earned his first Bachelor's degree. He is also an intermediate Spanish speaker.
