As a group, we are dedicated to adding housing to Missoula to alleviate the housing crisis. Most investors in this group are focused on strategies that add to the housing supply, like building ADUs (Aka Grannie Flats/Garage to Apartment Conversions), backyard townhouses, adding basement/attic units, or building houses. The more supply we can create, the slower rents will increase, and the better off we will be as a city. Permanently high rent prices aren't good for Missoulians, and they also aren't good for the long-term future of Missoula. If we can build backyard ADUs in only 5% of the 55,000 houses in Missoula County, we will completely eliminate the 2,500 unit deficit that is the cause of our housing issues. And by building them in the City of Missoula, we can create a more sustainable city where people can walk and bike to work, instead of driving in from their suburban house in the Bitterroot or Frenchtown.

Teaching Social Studies and Health/Physical Education.

-Writing new material and developing existing curriculum to teach 7th and 8th grade Social StudiesAligned curriculum to Common Core standards-Developing and strengthening existing curriculum and accommodating and modifying to fit ELL/ IEP/ 504 plan needs-Acting as Network-wide Grade Level Content Chair (5/6th grade Social Studies)-Model United nations Faculty Adviser

-Observed and coached each Social Studies teacher in the network on a bi-weekly basis -Execute plans for onboarding new staff members to the Social Studies Department including using New Staff Orientation to introduce new staff members to the philosophy, approach, and norms of the Social Studies Department.-Support the Social Studies Grade Level Content (GLC) Chair and Teams in aligning curriculum across the Network.-Collaborate with the network’s school leaders and core content department heads to ensure the Social Studies program is best positioned for achieving Excel’s mission.-Develop and prepare purposeful agendas for Department meeting time.-Facilitate meetings to ensure focus on intended outcomes, effective use of time and active participation and engagement.-Document notes and actions items from Department meetings and distribute them to teammates and school-level leadership in a timely fashion.-Develop and uphold structures for ensuring follow through on action items and next steps.

- Successfully developed a grade appropriate course curriculum to meet state standards in Physical Science and Life Science.- Created a course reader text for use in the Life Science course to support the learning of non-fiction reading skills- Collaborated with Science Department and Grade Level Teams to meet the needs of each child individually.- Advised a group of 10 7th grade students, helping them build age appropriate executive functioning skills such as time management, organization, and strong study habits.

-Instructing 5th and 6th grade students, specifically in the subjects of Technology and Engineering, Fitness, and Health. -Implement differentiated instruction to meet individual students' learning needs. -Provide appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet learning objectives, state standards, and student learning expectations. -Maintain professional competence through in-service self-selected education and professional development opportunities.

-Employed diverse techniques to promote active learning including individualized instruction, problem solving assignments, and small group work-Coordinated with teachers, parents, teacher assistants, and various service providers to ensure the diverse needs of every student were successfully realized-Actively involved in students’ academic, behavioral, and social development

-Responsible for fire suppression in wildland environment as well as wildland-urban interface-Advised the public on various topics in relation to fire safety, wildlife biology, and laws and regulations within the USDA Forest Service

-Taught American History to seventh graders-Created unique lesson and unit plans, as well as designing homework to address student retention relative to the mid-nineteenth century-Developed creative approaches to teaching about the Underground Railroad and issues of states' rights

-Exercised leadership skills by organizing numerous activities and meetings-Communicated effectively with faculty advisers-Planned and executed community service projects

-Taught Economics to High School seniors-Managed and implemented a Stock Market Game-Became familiar with all aspects of teaching through adapting techniques to meet student needs
