 Create, manage, co-ordinate team and take overall responsibility for the production of select UK/US journals from acceptance through to delivery of printed and online product, to the agreed pre-press standards of editorial and production quality, on time and within budget Responsible for training and appraisals of direct reports and keep them motivated, and equipped to take ownership of the responsibility and tasks assigned Coaching and giving feedback to direct reports to help develop talent and support career development Allocation and management of workload of team in consultation with the Managers and/or Senior Manager, thus ensuring teams are optimally utilized Setting goals across team to optimize performance against department goals and employee development Manage attritions, and rigorously track individual/team productivity targets, and ensure that targets/objectives are met Identifying resource needs for team and creating formal trainings and self-assessment surveys for IDP development Planning the contents of publications according to the publication's style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements Provide timely and constructive feedback for improvement to managers based in the US/UK offices managing freelance project managers, copy editors and proof readers Overseeing publication production, including artwork, layout, computer typesetting, and printing, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget requirements  Evaluating production policies, procedures, and budgets and identifies opportunities for standardizing where possible
