As a Deputy Manager I am involved in the following Project management and Account management activities.Project Management:● Takes care of the overall product design based on the requirements from various domestic and international customers.● Takes care of the budget estimation and plans to complete the entire project within the stipulated budget.● Is In-charge of testing of All the electro Optics systems like Thermal Imagers , Night vision devices, Laser Range Finders, Laser Designators .● Has extensive experience in preparation of Various test cases , Acceptance Test Procedures and Test reports for in house product development .● Is in-charge of pre-dispatch inspections and Joint Receipt inspections with the customer.Account Management:● Periodically monitors ongoing projects along with clients.● Constantly interacts with prospective clients for new projects both with domestic aswell as international customers. Worked recently a new project involving lasers wortharound 100 Crore rupees. The same has now come into production.● Interacts with offset partners Abroad for their offset requirements.● As most of the projects dealt with are with the Government, Is involved in preparationof Request For Information (RFI), Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request For Proposal (RFP). The particular exercise involves preparation of the technical proposal as well as the price proposal.● Attended trials for various project with Army, Air-force and Home ministry for various projects.● I am also involved in coordination of maintenance related activities like AMC for the products already supplied.● Acts as bridge between the Customer and Production Department.

As a senior engineer I worked mainly on product development and integration of electro-optics systems. Projects undertaken are as follows.● Design and Development of Uncooled Thermal imagers and weapon sights:The products of this domain were designed from scratch for uncooled vanadium oxide as well as amorphous silicon detectors. The project involved electronics and mechanical design, Integration of the various electronics, mechanical and optical components. The product is designed keeping the various requirements of home ministry in mind. Apart from Product development my role also involved overseeing the preparation of Acceptance Test Procedure and acceptance test reports.● Integration of Laser systems and customisation for Local Customers:Technology of some of the laser systems like designators and range finders are still foreign. Hence the imported laser modules were integrated with indigenously developed electro mechanical systems to suit the domestic defence customers. ● Worked on integration of thermal imaging fire control systems for AFVs.Was a part of the integration and testing team for the electro-optics system. This project was undertaken to integrate thermal imagers and laser range finders to old armoured fighting vehicles to make it night capable and capable of vehicle tracking. ● Worked on modification of Commander Sight For AFVS to integrate thermal imagers to the existing systems.Armoured fighting vehicles had old viewing sights of old Image intensifier tubes. New subsystems were designed and retro fitted with thermal imaging technology.
