Job Profile (Key Responsibilities):- Position: - Sr. Engineer1. To manage the team of supervisors and operatives in the shift.2. To ensure smooth and efficient operation of power plant and utilities 3. To coordinate with maintenance team for day to day routine maintenance.4. To ensure operation of plant within the limit of operating parameter.5. To coordinate with contractor to supply the contract labours as per the shift requirement.6. Operation of cogeneration power plant including start up, shut down and handling of emergency situations Critical competencies:-1. Exposure to power plant operations of coal based CFBC boilers through DCS technology including efficient handling of emergencies in respective areas.2. Basic knowledge of power plant chemistry such as the boiler water, cooling water, quality by use of chemical dosing and blow down.3. Knowledge of the limit and operation of the asset controls of power plant and its keys drivers of thermal power plant efficiencies.4. Cold, warm and Hot Startup, tripping and changeover of plant equipment and auxiliaries5. Online Exp. of Black out, Island mode, Cold start up, Warm Start up, Normal Operation, Emergency handling & Safe shut down of units.6. Line up of the unit & its Auxiliaries, Routine testing of protection system & Annunciation system.7. Issue & Cancellation of PTW (Permit to work) system, Safe isolation & Equipment Safety.8. Monitor plant Operation & handle Emergencies including shut down of units & load throw off to Control generation as per requirement. 9 Instruction to field operators for safe operation of power plant. 10. Monitor of Mechanical Maintenance & Co-ordinate with load dispatch.11. Emergency Equipment trial & restoration of Process & Equipment.12. Hydro test of boiler including Primary, Secondary and critical piping in desired parameter as per Boiler regulation.
