Currently he has been teaching in the capacity of Assistant Professor, School of Buddhist Studies and Civilization, and also Director, International Affairs, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (INDIA). Before joining Gautam Buddha University, he has worked at the Department of Buddhist Studies, University of Delhi for almost six years where he has edited the journal of Department of Buddhist Studies named Buddhist Studies, Volumes XXVIII to XXXIX. During his entire teaching career, he has played an important role in organizing International and National Conferences on various themes of Buddhism apart from inviting Buddhist scholars for special lectures and workshops on various aspects of Buddhism. He himself has presented his research works at national conferences and International conferences in India and abroad on many occasions to name few are: Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Russia, Nepal, etc. He has published books on Animals in Early Buddhism, Buddhism in Far East, Buddhist in Southeast Asia, Buddhism in East Asia, History of Theravada Buddhism, A Text Book of the History of Theravada Buddhism (Co-ed. with Prof KTS Sarao), and Researches in Buddhist Studies, He has written five books on Buddhism, more than 80+ research papers on various aspects of Buddhism and related research areas in Journals, Conference Proceedings and book chapters of national and international reputes in India and abroad. His area of specializations is Buddhist History (Indian and Abroad), Applied Buddhism, Buddhist Ethics, Engaged Buddhism, Buddhist Personalities, Buddhist Places, etc. He has also presented his research papers on numerous occasions on different aspects of Buddhism from time to time in various seminars and conferences of national and international repute in India and abroad. He has supervised many research Theses, Dissertations (PG and MPhil): PhD Thesis (5 Awarded and 5 pursuing), MPhil (24 Awarded) and MA Dissertations (31 Awarded). Under his mentorship, 10 students have published their Book out of the research works under his supervision and guidance.
