Roles, Responsibilities, & Accountabilities• Responsible for handling product development by extensively reviewing the welding and stamping processes, with a concentration on smooth planning and project execution (like 2EY, YTA, Y1K ECN, 31XA, Y0M, YNC, and YWD). • Before APQP, prepare a feasibility report for BIW/Chassis parts at both the part and assembly levels, and request designers for any necessary changes based on process requirements.• Child Parts 2D Drawings creation using the Assy Drawing Study as a Guide.• Yield analysis for all child parts and development of the optimal strip layout to maximize strip utilization.• Technical discussion and GD&T study with the design team and supplier to make the process simplified.• Review and approval of gauge/jig concepts, DAP of tools and jigs, trials and validation at the supplier.• Preparation of Plant Layout for New Model Lines (for Press Shop, Weld shop, and Assembly shop) based on VSM and other considerations.• Estimating tooling costs and negotiating with suppliers.• Presenting project status to the Japanese team and preparing documentation to meet their needs.Notable Accomplishments• Layout finalization for new press and weld shops, as well as setup for YTA Model (SMG) in Gujarat in 2021.• Yield Improvement Study implemented over 55 lac cost-saving proposals.

Roles, Responsibilities, & Accountabilities• Development of Die Tools, Welding Jigs and Fixtures, Panel Checkers, Receiving Gauges, etc.• Product/process development based on predefined specifications. Conducting tryouts helps identify defects and make necessary modifications.• To participate in T-0 and T-1 tool trials to resolve welding and stamping quality issues during component development and submission to the customer for S.O.P.• To maintain tool quality through CMM inspection and other inspections as per customer requirements.• To investigate the operation sequence, part rejection during part development and resolution via the 8D route, root cause defects, and process improvement through Kaizen and fool proofing.• Planning and ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions for newly developed parts.• Coordinating the entire product development process, from requirement analysis to specification finalization and prototype development.• Sound knowledge of CMM measurement and calibration, as well as other measuring instruments, SPC, and MSA.• Good experience with welding robot programming and teaching for various sheet metal parts.• Basic Knowledge about PLC.• Procurement of new machinery (VMC, Wire EDM, Lathe, Milling M1TR, etc.) to optimize development activities.• Sourcing, preparing, and managing development budgets as per timeline, monitoring expenditure, and implementing remedial measures as appropriate.Notable Accomplishments• In 2018, the existing tool room expansion with entire machinery procurement.• New Weld Shop Setup for the YSD Model (SMG) in 2016 in Gujarat location.
