Honesty, Humility, Courage, that's what it takes.Growing up on a farm in the middle of nowhere Ohio, I had plenty of time to think. To really explore the subtle facets of what makes an individual who they are: the deep inner landscape of the individual soul that can enrich or destroy one's life, the dangers of complacency, and the immense good that can be done through accepting responsibility. This understanding has helped me level my pride in the good times and softened my falls in the bad, allowing me to face opposition and opportunity with a level head; the most recent of both being college.When I stepped onto campus freshman year, my life was nothing but possibility; an exciting and nervous state of transient identities and temporary solutions. My interest drifted all the way from law enforcement, philosophy, and aviation to nutrition and exercise science. However, it was not until I stumbled upon an introductory class on the C programming language that I found a semblance of a true purpose. Now I am throwing myself headfirst into my C.S. program and gaining the momentum I need to truly make improvements personally and professionally. In a couple years I'll launch into the world and hopefully change a thing or two for the better. Until then, I'll always look back on my past and remember what I learned and what it takes to move forward: the honest pursuit of truth, the humility to accept the truth, and the courage to change accordingly.
