Asad holds extensive qualifications, including a Bachelor's in Petroleum & Natural Gas, a Master's in Environmental Engineering & Management, and an anticipated Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering by 2024, complemented by courses/trainings such as ISO Lead Auditor, ADNOC WMS, BOSIET, etc. With over 10 years of experience in Environmental, Social, OHS, and Research roles across China, UAE, and Pakistan, Asad specializes in the oil & gas sector, renewables (Wind & Solar), and academic research.Currently, he is affiliated with WKC Middle East Environmental Consultancy, serving as PMC-ADNOC Environmental Rep for the offshore Dalma Gas Development Project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Previously, Asad has successfully completed over 20 renewable (Wind & Solar) projects in Pakistan and UAE, his key strengths are environmental management, HSE, and identifying and managing ESG risks for major capital projects from the concept phase to the pre-feasibility, feasibility, and implementation phases. As part of EPC and PMC, he has collaborated with global entities like IFC, CDC, FMO, MASDAR, and ADNOC, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.Academically, Asad's research credentials include a focus on Air Pollution, especially trucking emissions along the flagship project of the Belt Road Initiative (BRI) China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) at multi-altitude routes, with fieldwork conducted at Himalayan altitudes. His research initiates the first-ever comprehensive study on trucking emission testing in Pakistan and pioneers the investigation into calculating emissions at notable high altitudes (~5,000m), atop the Himalayan Glaciers Karakoram Highway at the China-Pakistan border. This fieldwork, graciously supported by the Ministry of Climate Change Pakistan (MOC) and the Ministry of Science and Technology Pakistan, endeavors to unveil critical data and insights related to high-altitude emissions.This research, among others, has been published, with more in the pipeline.   ADNOC Environmental Representative (PMC) - Dalma Gas Development Project (DGD) Package A.Project Description: Dalma Gas Development Project (DGD) in the Arabian Basin, Abu Dhabi, UAE by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). DGD Package A covers the EPC of four offshore wellhead towers, pipelines, and umbilicals in the Hair Dalma, Satah, and Bu Haseer fields.Job Scope: - Uphold and monitor contractors (NPCC & NMDC) compliance in accordance with UAE environmental laws and regulations.- Maintain adherence to ADNOC guidelines, best practice codes, and all pertinent international standards.- Spearhead daily, weekly, and monthly environmental inspections/assessments and reports, addressing areas such as waste management, air quality, and sediment plumes in line with the project's CEMP.- Ensuring project compliance with MARPOL regulations to prevent maritime pollution.- Directed both internal and company-wide environmental audits on monthly, quarterly, and annually. - Performing environmental monitoring in alignment with project CEMP standards, encompassing water quality, noise levels, marine mammal and reptile observations, and marine ecology evaluations.- Facilitate and oversee environmental training sessions at various project locations.- Heading the Spill Drills in sync with the on-site drill timetable.- Collaborate with and supported terrestrial and marine ecologists during field surveys.- Assist and advise employer on preparing a compliant Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report
